Joseph Calleja, the world-famous “Maltese Tenor,” recognizes the pedagogical qualities and innovative approach offered by Meludia. Calleja considers the web application as the ideal tool to be distributed in Malta to promote the learning of musical language and the development of culture. He personally brought the project to the attention of Prime Minister Mr. Joseph Muscat.
"Meludia is an interactive, intuitive, and fun tool that will take music education to a whole new level. I am very happy that it is available to all Maltese who wish to improve their music education... or even start from scratch."
The Meludia team presented the platform in public and private schools, music schools, universities, retirement homes, hospitals, and prisons. Subsequently, the team demonstrated Meludia to the inmates of the Maltese penitentiary system, following an agreement with the director of the Corradino Correctional Facility, Malta’s main prison. Later, Meludia was presented to the medical staff and patients of the Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre.
"This initiative will raise awareness across an entire country of the importance of music education in the development of every human being. We are happy to benefit from the support of Joseph Calleja who, with his vision and determination, made this project possible."
