Our Story

Listening is a skill. We develop it.

Meludia develops human listening.
Since 2012, we have been designing tools to train sound perception, in music as well as in everyday hearing, particularly for the hearing impaired.

Our approach is based on training fundamental perceptual micro-skills—discrimination, auditory memory, and the perception of timbre, time, and intensity—which structure how the brain interprets, organizes, and anticipates sounds.

These skills form the foundation of precise, conscious, and autonomous listening.

Today, this research is applied across two complementary areas:

  • Meludia Music, dedicated to the musical ear and sensory listening,
  • Meludia Hearing, dedicated to listening in service of the hearing impaired.

For the Hearing division, we work closely with audiologists, speech therapists, and scientists to ensure our tools are rigorous (medical devices), useful, and grounded in field reality to create new, sustainable practices.

Meludia is driven by a multidisciplinary team combining perceptual research, musical creation, technology, and strategic management:
Bastien Sannac and Vincent Chaintrier, co-founders, are the source of Meludia’s founding vision: a conception of listening as a perceptual, pedagogical, and cognitive skill to be developed.
The company is led by Didier Ghenassia (CEO), who oversees the strategic direction and deployment of Meludia’s digital health solutions, ensuring the alignment of scientific vision, clinical requirements, and economic development.

Together, the three of them combine their expertise to best serve the Meludia Hearing project: therapeutic goals, user experience, and pedagogical innovation.

The project is supported by Claire Franzoni, President and lead investor.

A single ambition guides us:
to make everyone freer, more precise, and more confident in their listening.

the creation of an international platform

It took five years of hard work for the two co-founders to transition from an experimental method to the completion of an online platform accessible to everyone.   It took five years of hard work for the two co-founders to transition from an experimental method to the completion of an online platform accessible to everyone.   The method is highly popular and has met with immense success abroad, where fun and sensory learning approaches are more developed than in France. 1.3 million Estonians have benefited from the method, as well as 450,000 Maltese people.
