Meludia Alliance for Auditory and Cognitive Sciences
In practical terms, the MAACS tests Meludia’s clinical and technological choices, documents the state of the art in hearing and cognitive sciences, and observes what the solution produces in people who are fitted with hearing aids — benefits, limitations, responder profiles.
The MAACS is not a scientific committee in the institutional sense — though it is setting itself on that trajectory over time. It prepares the ecosystem in which a true scientific committee can later take shape. At this stage, it supports Meludia in its need to be grounded in a multidisciplinary scientific standard.

Understanding what we hear engages the cognitive system as much as the auditory system — and that is precisely what the MAACS is committed to testing, documenting, and measuring.
Maintain the state of the art in scientific knowledge in hearing and cognition that informs Meludia’s choices and uses. Identify areas of uncertainty.
The MAACS is built on explicit commitments — not communication postures, but operating rules that apply starting today.
Internal disagreements are open. Hypotheses are identified as such. Choices without scientific consensus are explicitly owned — never dressed up as certainties.
Members of Circle 1 are paid by Meludia. The MAACS makes this information visible — it appears in any external communication bearing a MAACS signature.
Audiology, speech therapy, hearing aid fitting, ENT, neuropsychology, clinical methodologies. No discipline takes precedence over the others — the relevance of the shared topic takes precedence over individual ambitions.
Meludia’s TPI is a Class I medical device. The MAACS does not diagnose, does not prescribe, and does not claim any effectiveness beyond what the literature and available studies allow us to state.

MAACS — Circle 1 Meludia
A study led directly by the MAACS, complementary to the France 2030 program. It aims to observe the effects of Meludia Audition on patient profiles that complement those in the main multicenter protocol. Its design is currently underway within Circle 1, with methodological support planned via Circle 2 once it is established.

Meludia Audition Aging Well consortium · Independent CRO · MAACS (Measurement stream)
A double-blind multicenter clinical study with a crossover design, conducted under the aegis of the Meludia Audition Aging Well consortium, in response to the France 2030 call for projects on the clinical and medico-economic demonstration of digital medical devices in support of aging well. The methodology is led by an independent CRO specialized in digital. Recruitment and execution are coordinated with the consortium’s partners. The first interim readouts are expected within the next 18 months.

This study examines the effects of perceptual training with Meludia on general cognitive dimensions — concentration, creativity, problem-solving — in primary school children, independently of musical skill itself. It falls within the field of research on cognitive transfer from auditory training.
2025
Conducted between February and April 2025 in partnership with the Acuitis network, this pilot study aimed to demonstrate the technical and clinical feasibility of the TPI (Test de Perception des Intensités) in real-world conditions. It assessed patient and hearing care professional satisfaction, as well as the relevance of the results for fitting hearing aids. Key results: 94% of patients completed their 3-TPI cycle before the 2nd appointment; 95% of hearing care professionals consider the results useful; 87% changed settings based on the 1st cycle; an average gain of 37% in comfort zones between the 1st and 2nd cycle. A scientific article is currently being submitted to a peer-reviewed journal.
