Why do you need to train your brain?

A personalized auditory-cognitive training program, done independently at home, aims to:

  • help reduce listening effort,
  • contribute to more accurate sound processing,
  • free up the brain for understanding.

It is part of a progressive approach supervised by your healthcare professionals. It’s not about performance, but about helping the brain listen better to sounds—so it can process them better and help you enjoy everyday life.

After a period of hearing loss, you may need time and stimulation to listen well. Here too, we need you to train your brain for this mission and reduce listening effort!

Meludia Hearing was designed to support this adjustment,
in close collaboration with your hearing care professionals.

How do you train with Meludia Hearing?

The goal is to help the hearing aid user regain listening comfort in everyday life situations.

In some cases, even when devices are well adjusted, auditory-cognitive stimulation can be useful and effective for good listening.

Your audiologist may also offer the Meludia Audition training protocol as an add-on.

This training:

  • identifies areas of weakness,
  • offers targeted work
  • and makes it possible to measure the progress made.

This protocol aims to:

  • reduce listening effort,
  • improve the accuracy of sound processing,
  • better manage resistance to noise.

The results are then shared with the healthcare professionals who follow you.
Of course, this program cannot under any circumstances replace speech therapy if it proves necessary.

How does it work day to day?

Meludia Hearing is part of a year-long support program; it is a medical device app to be used under the supervision of your hearing aid specialist.

The process is simple:

  1. You complete your 9 training sessions at home on your smartphone, whenever it suits you best—3 sessions of 15–20 min per week, for 3 to 4 weeks.

  2. Your hearing aid specialist automatically receives your results to monitor your training.

  3. After the last session, the Meludia Hearing app offers you a test to see how your brain’s perception has changed.

  4. At your next appointment, your hearing aid specialist can, if needed, start a new training session, or suggest a break until the next appointment. They can also run additional tests if necessary.
