meludia is based on the SEMA listening method – Sensations, Emotions, Memory, Analysis – created by Vincent Chaintrier. The result of 25 years spent teaching more than 3000 musicians, meludia was awarded the gold medal at the prestigious Lépine Competition in 2014.
Music education too often focuses on dry theory, relegating enjoyment to the background. For the creators Vincent Chaintrier and Bastien Sannac Cunningham, the challenge was clear: bring the fun back to learning about music. We learn to speak before we learn to read… The same goes for music.
meludia places perception and emotion at the heart of the musical experience. A boon for anyone discouraged by solfège and reading sheet music.
meludia is a method based on listening and sensations, progressively stimulating the ears of musicians of all levels.
Repeated listening allows for the breakdown and identification of the fundamental elements of music, to better understand and master them: notes, intervals, chords, rhythms…
